Established in 2004, ARCIS Associates is a Hyderabad-based multidisciplinary design consultancy with experience in architectural, interior and structural design. Over more than two decades of practice, ARCIS Associates has developed its approach around a clear understanding of each project’s purpose, site conditions, functional requirements and the people who will ultimately use the space.

The design process at ARCIS Associates is based on the belief that architecture, interiors and structure should be considered as connected parts of the same project. Architectural decisions influence the way spaces are experienced, interior requirements affect planning and detailing, and structural considerations shape how the overall design can be developed. Bringing these disciplines together allows the design to progress with greater clarity and coordination.

F. Joseph Thomas founded ARCIS Associates in 2004 with a belief that good design begins with understanding a project thoroughly and developing solutions that are practical, purposeful and well considered. As Chairman & Managing Director, he has led the practice for more than two decades, maintaining a hands-on approach to design direction, planning, project coordination and client engagement.

His leadership continues to shape the way ARCIS Associates works today — with an emphasis on clear thinking, responsible design decisions, careful coordination and attention to the requirements of each project. He remains closely involved in the direction of the practice and in maintaining strong client relationships, helping ensure that the professional standards, design values and commitment to thoughtful work established at the beginning continue to guide ARCIS Associates as the practice evolves.
